Data Optimiser (DO) is a DICOM Router software that can be installed and hosted on any PC on your network. It's designed specifically to manage optimal and secure transmission of clinical images between any source, and any destination, across any networks and the internet. DO can receive from any AET source, read image tags, decide where to send the images, and send to any AET destination anywhere in the world. For the user, DICOM is automatically sent and received as a back office service. But what is actually transmitted, and the intellect applied when doing so, is secure, significantly compressed and directed by a rules engine.

This overcomes the common inter-network hurdles that typically complicate or deny efficient clinical image sharing. DO can appear to different AET sources as they would expect, despite their proprietary nature and linguistic incompatibility. It can execute a library of custom rules to determine what to do with incoming DICOM, where to send them and what system to emulate when doing so. DO is a sophisticated multi-channeled solution for automating image flow, and managing efficient transmission of images to which ever destination matched rules dictate. DO does not rely on VPN networking and has a built-in bandwidth analyzer and powerful communication framework which is significantly simpler, more robust and scalable. |
DO can quickly adapt to fluctuating bandwidths and easily scales with different network types ranging from mobile-wireless networks to Gigabit LANs. DO is bidirectional - you can receive and send images from and to a DICOM device/software/PACS using DO as the "broker" in between.
DO also has a collection of unique DICOM manipulation features. It can “Insert” tag values on the fly for images that meet a unique condition, and send them to one or more AETs simultaneously. It is built on the latest technologies to achieve better performance with smarter system resource management, and is compliant with the latest Windows operating systems.
