Report UK is a teleradiology and specialist reporting company run by Radiologists serving the private and public sectors, and other organisations. The company is comprised of a disparate and growing number of Specialist Radiologists, each recognised experts in their field and located across the UK.
The challenge was to enable a common but virtual environment that supported all aspects of diagnostic reporting workflow, simply and reliably. Cimar's Cranium Web service was implemented as the image sharing and reporting backbone enabling all radiologists and referring clients, private access to their patient studies and documents. Report turnaround times are minimal as images can be rapidly transferred to any appropriate Specialist Radiologist for immediate access.

Cimar's service was implemented with approval for use across the NHS. The system is used as if it were a virtual mini PACS and is particularly valued by customers who operate in clinics and institutions without an integrated image store.
Unlike conventional PACS, all studies can be made available at any sites relevant to the patients pathway, and typically a different location to where the scan was performed. Report UK runs its entire diagnostic service from Cimar's single Cranium web platform, which is hosted and maintained by an NHS approved and ultra secure data centre.
