...Community Healthcare - Musculoskeletal services

As part of his work to continue improving the quality of care in the UK, Lord Darzi established the need to provide planned care closer to people’s homes. This saves money and delivers better healthcare. Pursuing that strategy, and under the direction of the joint Primary Care Trust in Hertfordshire, several clinical services deliver an increasing number of care episodes outside Acute trust locations. The locations from which care is increasingly being delivered, meets the Darzi vision of convenience for patients, but clinicians are by default, detached from the LAN ‘umbilical chord’ and their patients’ images.

Cimar’s service is ensuring that imaging procedures requested by remote or mobile care services, are automatically routed to personal virtual worklists for the relevant teams to access wherever the care appointment takes place, (be it in the local GP surgery, community clinic, or poly-clinic). within minutes of imaging having been completed, the patients consultant has secure access to the images from any location.

  • Images automatically and securely delivered to Community based care providers

  • Auto filtering and routing of radiology requires no administration

  • Simple remote access to images by GPs, consultants and mobile clinicians

Consultants, Specialists and GPs with special interests are able to prescribe patients for scanning , and receive the images almost instantly at their desktops for referral, or later consultation with patients.
